Job title:                       Independent Domestic Violence Adviser 

Location:                     Sandwell, West Midlands

Salary:                         £19,968 - £22,934 depending on experience/qualification

Hours:                          Full-time 

Education level:          Undergraduate degree (or equivalent)

Working within a challenging yet rewarding environment you are required to provide high quality, safety focused interventions to victims of domestic abuse.

You will provide: detailed one to one initial assessment; risk assessments and support plans; safety focused interventions; one to one and group work support, as well as psycho-education; crisis intervention and access to refuge where appropriate

You will build a close working relationship with key partners, establishing regular monthly meetings to communicate on outcomes and any challenges.

Sandwell Women’s Aid (SWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. We place victims’ voices at the heart of all that we do, and our specialist team works with drive and passion to change policy, practice and people’s lives.

 Services range from advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions.

 AN EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO JOIN A GROWING AND NATIONALLY RECOGNISED SUCCESSFUL TEAM
